does Pescatarian Diet mean? A Pescatarian diet is a diet that includes
seafood, vegetables and nuts. Pescatarian's do not eat meat (pork).
Basically, you substitute meat for fish. Let's say that you want to be a
vegetarian but you still want to eat seafood. So, you become a
Pescatarian. Pescatarian eating is a plant-based diet. This diet is good
for you if you have diabetes or heart disease. People have chosen to
start the Pescatarian diet because of their beliefs. Some Pescatarians
don't agree with the slaughtering of animals nor farming practices. To
minimize Global warming and greenhouse gas, people have turned to the
Pescatarian diet.

foods should Pescatarians eat? The seafood must be low in mercury,
(light tuna, salmon, catfish, pollock or shrimp). You are advised to
Always eat Wild Caught seafood. Nuts (Flax seeds, pseudo grains, hemp
seeds, quinoa, buckwheat, chia, nut butters). Legumes, Tofu, hummus, and
pinto beans. Whole grains (oats, wheat, corn, and rice). Zucchini

If
you are pregnant monitor your mercury intake. You should stay away from
seafood that are high in mercury. Foods high in mercury can affect
brain development and more. Avoid eating shark, swordfish, tilefish, ahi
tuna, big eye tuna, croaker (white pacific), perch, sea bass, mackerel,
sablefish, tuna (Albacore and yellow fin), orange roughy, marlin,
grouper and blue fish.
